Father Klaus
Since more than 40 years missionary, Father and development aid worker, social delegate of diocese Maumere. Responsable for the Caritas aid program (anti malaria program, waste management, environment protection, youth welfare).
Dr. Dietrich Lerche
More than 50 years related to Indonesia, his second home. 35 years research work and development projects (i.a. World Bank, Harvard Group, KfW, GTZ), projects in international collaboration (tax reform, advancement of small companies, regional planning). Fluent in Indonesian language, very familiar with Indonesian culture, administration and economy. Last CD Swiss Red Cross rebuilding Aceh after the Tsunami desaster.
In his active retirement he wants to give help to some perticular young, indigent people in school and in their professional future, so that they get a chance (in contrast to the official, institutional but often ineffective development aid). YASPEM
Social foundation with projects on abatement of hunger, aid for victims of earthquakes, floodings and orphanages. For his success in the field of environment protection, erosion control (Lamtoro trees) YASPEM-founder Father Bollen earned national and international recognition. Newly YASPEM works in the field of malaria protection and waste disposal (www.flores-indonesien.de).
Sea World Club
An exotic bungalow resort near Maumere with palm beach and scuba diving club. It is YASPEM's, i.e. Pater Bollen's lifework. All profits flow into social projects (www.sea-world-club.com).
Ma Belgie
Under this name wellknown all over Flores is the Belgian nun for her tireless work for poor people and children. She and her foundation "Children of Flores" take care of six orphanages with 150 orphants in Maumere region. However, in many cases the budget is not enough for school and education (www.dekinderenvanflores.be).
